These are required if you’ve upgraded your R53 trailing arms to the lighter
R56 alloy trailing arms.
These stainless steel conical washers also allow you
to ﬁt R53 coilovers onto your R56 or JCW GP1 MINI. This ‘ﬁlls the gap’
between the R53 rear strut and R56 trailing arm, due to the R56
strut / shock having a built in bushing at the base of the strut, which
extends into the trailing arm.
