If your mini is driven aggressively either on the track or on the road, oil temperatures can be considerably higher than normal. This is very bad for any engine as the internal components become stressed and worn out excessively.
Excessive wear is a result of the oil becoming too hot and its properties changing. Using a bigger better modified oil cooler with much greater efficiency and surface area than the stock oil cooler will allow you to bring down oil temperature, prolong the life of your engine under hard driving and ensure you protect all your bmw mini engine components.
