The mini Cooper S R53 bypass valve is a know weak spot for boost pressure losses and power reduction. The stock bypass valve has a weak spring prone to snapping along with an incorrectly adjusted butterfly valve that doesn't close completely, resulting in Power loss. Reduced power is often further increased as a result of running more boost pressure with reduced size pulleys.
The stock OEM spring is removed and the modified bypass valve adjusted to prevent any boost leaks and further improve Power and throttle response. Using an upgraded spring ensures that vacuum issues are removed preventing the valve from opening too soon resulting in lost power.
Each bypass valve comes with new silicone hose.
