The forge carbon fiber induction kit for the Bmw mini countryman R60 replaces the original OEM stock air box and provides a direct cold air feed into the engine allowing a much greater volume of air into the engine, resulting in an increase power and a much more responsive throttle.
The carbon fiber box surrounding the filter acts as a heat shield keeping the hot air out and the cold air cold, right up until it reaches the carb where it is then mixed with fuel. Users of this system have reported on the ease of installing it into their mini and the sporty but not to obtrusive sounds that the forge system provides.
If well maintained the filter on this car should never need to be replaced.
